African Art: Igbo Art June 24, 2010

The Igbo people are indigenous to southeast Nigeria and still farm crops there. Igbo sculptures provide key insight into the history of the culture. Highlights of the exhibit include pieces that were created for the coronation of a king in the 10th century.
