African Art: Baule Art June 17, 2010

The Baule Art pieces on display belong to the Baule people who inhabit the Ivory Coast. They migrated to the Ivory Coast from Ghana when their Queen was vying for power with a king in the region. On display are the masks that they use to celebrate the Goli Masquerade.
