African American Read-In June 20, 2008

Last year, the Center hosted its first African American Read-In. We have decided to make the Read-In an annual event. This year it will take place June 20, 2008 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Dakota Center. (located at 33 Barnett Street in Dayton, OH) Just like last year, the program will be an afternoon full of reading books authored by African Americans and lots of other fun activities. We have a Project Read sponsored book giveaway, raffle prizes, the Bookmobile, the PeaceMobile and refreshments. Dayton community leaders will be our guest readers. Children and parents of all ages are invited to attend. Everything is free of charge.
