Afghanistan in the Age of the Flowers

This is a world premier of an original work chronicling the plight of the women of Afghanistan since World War II, up to the present. This well written drama explores the militarization of all the factions, the role the drug trade plays, religious fundamentalism and imperialism. The story follows the transformation of oppressed women, a U.S news reporter, and a U.S soldier.

Afghanistan in the Age of the Flowers opens Friday October 2 at 7.30.p.m and will be performed every Friday night throughout October with a special performance Halloween night, October 31.
