AFF July Roundtable: Conservatives and the Academy July 17, 2008

Organizer: America's Future Foundation. The dysfunctional state of the Academy has been well known to conservatives since William F. Buckley published God and Man at Yale 50 years ago. Once the Baby Boomer generation started getting tenure, the situation only got worse. The Right has largely ceded control of higher education to the Left, with a few exceptions. Some conservatives attend an openly conservative college to ensure a proper education. Is this a sound strategy, or is a more systematic approach needed? Can we afford to abandon the Academy?
