Adventures Of A Waterboy - An Evening with Mike Scott October 9, 2012

The Waterboys' frontman marks the launch of his memoir Adventures Of A Waterboy with an intimate concert including a reading from the book followed by an acoustic set with fiddler Steve Wickham. Described by Scott as ‘the world's greatest rock fiddle player’ Wickham played violin on the classic U2 song Sunday, Bloody Sunday, as well as recordings by Elvis Costello, the Hothouse Flowers, Sinéad O'Connor, and World Party. He is a long-standing member of The Waterboys.

The Waterboys are best known for classic songs like The Whole Of The Moon and ground-breaking albums including This Is The Sea and Fisherman's Blues. Their most recent work, An Appointment With Mr Yeats, sees Scott and his compatriots setting the lyrics of Ireland's master poet to melody against a background of rousing rock'n'roll.
