advanced teacher training: 500-hour certification (TT500)

tranquil space's 500-hour certification, which meets the yoga alliance guidelines, is designed for 200-hour registered yoga teachers who wish to pursue a full 500-hour certification.

the training is also open to students without 200 hour certification wishing to deepen their understanding of yoga, but they would not receive the 500 hour certification. topics for this training include advanced teaching methods, asana, pranayama, advanced anatomy & physiology, yoga therapeutics, yin, restorative, sequencing, kirtan, ayurveda, and psychology.

students may elect to complete the training for 500 hour certification in one year or two years. students not wishing to complete the certification can take the whole training or attend only weekends of interest. certification includes 260 contact hours, plus an additional 40 non-contact hours. continuing education units (CEUs) through the yoga alliance are available. begins fall 2009 and concludes in december 2010.
