Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon November 6, 2010

History is about to be made in Action/Extreme sports competitions as the first ever Skateboard marathon takes place in South Florida on Saturday, November 6. Adrenalina - the Extreme Store located in the Village at Gulfstream Park- and the City of Hallandale Beach have created the Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon - a 26.2-mile longboard race.

According to race director Jonathan Strauss, the marathon is geared toward all types of rider skill, age and gender - with divisions for youth, junior, veterans, masters open class. Strauss added that many pro skateboarders are also expected to attend to vie for the $10,000.00 first place prize. Racers will skateboard two laps around a course designed to showcase the beautiful city of Hallandale Beach, starting and ending at the Village of Gulfstream Park, located at the intersection of U.S. 1 and East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

The Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon kicks off with an official start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6. Anyone interested in participating can register online at www.adrenalinaskateboardmarathon.com. All racers must check in on Friday, November 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to receive their race packets and number; including an equipment check. The Marathon will also feature a skateboard contest, a FlowRider surf ride contest, DJ performances and a sports expo.

FRIDAY ADRENALINA STORE + PUSH BOARD UNVEILING
On Friday, November 5, Adrenalina will celebrate the grand opening of their Village of Gulfstream Park store at 1740 Via Da Fortuna.
