Adams Morgan Day w/ nclud September 14, 2008

Are you around on Sunday? Feel like hanging out with the nclud team around D.C.? If so, we’ve got some excitement lined up – well not really; but we will be hanging out around the national mall, Adams Morgan (it’s Adams Morgan Day!) and of course hitting up some Mario Kart in the studio. There will of course be food, beer and perhaps some “non-sense”.

We are going to start the morning off on the National Mall cheering on our own Doris Steere, our amazingly talented Art Director. She will be participating in The Nation’s Triathlon to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Sunday morning. We hear she is pretty fast (got first place in her Triathlon last weekend), so we are hoping to get a glimpse of her as she speeds by. We’ll be camped out on 14th Street NW in between Constitution and Independence avenues at around 9:30am. Come by and hang out and help us cheer Doris on; there will be a lot of “run Doris, run” in appropriate Forest Gump type voices.

After embarrassing Doris into what we hope is another first place victory; we are heading back up to the studio to celebrate Adams Morgan Day! We are always big proponents of supporting local web communities; but we also make it a point to show our love for our local community at large. Adams Morgan Day is one of the biggest and most fun local community events in D.C. – definitely something we look forward to each year; last year we even designed their website (last year)! The event spans all of 18th Street NW from Columbia Avenue down to Florida Avenue – with concerts on both ends of 18th. And since the nclud studio is perfectly located at 18th and Florida; it makes for the perfect pit-stop to eat, drink and play Mario Kart before, after and during the festivities!

If you are planning on going to Adams Morgan Day, let us know and definitely stop by the studio – we are going to hopefully be grilling up some burgers and dogs out back.
