Amazing and elegant physical feats by the Hebei Acrobatic Troupe of China will be showcased soon in the Tian Qian Theatre.

Thetroupe's award-winning acrobatic performances include female cycling,diabolo playing, foot juggling with kids, squeezing through hoops,dangling from lengths of silk, and foot juggling with umbrellas.

Foundedin 1976, the Hebei Acrobatic Troupe of China is a province-levelprofessional group with more than 130 professional acrobats, who havestriven over the years to perfect their acrobatic skills and create newproductions. They now have over 20 productions that merge elegantpresentation and amazing acrobatic skills with dance, music, costumesand lighting effects. The troupe has been a frequent award winner in
major national and overseas acrobatics competitions.

Programscreated by the troupe include "Head Skills On a Free-Standing Ladder,""Sacred-Jar uggling," "Lion Dance," "Diabolo Girls," "Meteors," "FootJuggling," "Belts Gymnastics," "Rotating Hoop Diving," "The GrandAcrobatics Evening Show 'Hometown,'" and so on.

The troupe has been invited to participate in many important contests and festivals both home and abroad, winning many prizes.

Dueto the remarkable economic benefits and social benefits it created, thetroupe was named "an advanced acrobatic troupe that has madeoutstanding contributions to the development of acrobatic arts inrecent years" by the Ministry of Culture.

Thetroupe has visited more than 50 countries and regions for internationalcultural exchanges and commercial performances. With its extraordinaryperformances, the troupe won the "artistic pearl" honor and wasentitled the "troupe worthy of the title of an acrobatics troupe from'the hometown of acrobatics'".

In 2002, the troupe went to Israelfor a nine-month commercial performance of the self-produced eveningshow "Human and Nature," which received a warm welcome from the locals.
