Dave Tilton has been recording original music for New Hat Records since 1984, both as a solo artist and as a founding member of The Seventh Triangle. He formed his own label D-Side Records in 1999 and has released three critically well-received CDs; the most recent, 2005’s “The Late Our,” was described in Rambles magazine as “well written with thoughtful lyrics, and the sound achieved is excellent.” His tenth full-length recording, with the working title of “Vallejo,” is tentatively set for a 2008 release on New Hat Records.

Tilton and Dennis Ocampo began work in late 2006 on a new musical synthesis of Eastern and Western musical styles. Dave sings and plays acoustic guitar in standard and alternate tunings. They perform a mix of instrumentals with original songs and their own arrangements of a few covers from the pop music world.

Tilton and Ocampo perform every second Saturday at the Listen & Be Heard Poetry Café from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free, all ages are welcome.
