The Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT) is celebrating its tenth anniversary on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 6:30 p.m., with a tribute dinner honoring co-founder Edward Netter (1932-2011). The evening appropriately titled New Frontiers will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, Connecticut. Robert Bazell, chief science and health correspondent for NBC News, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Dennis Clegg of the University of California, Santa Barbara, will provide a look into the most promising news in molecular medicine; and guests will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Carl June of the University of Pennsylvania Abramson Cancer Center, who recently announced the life-saving gene therapy breakthrough in treating leukemia.
