Acapulco, Cincinnati's new Latin-Tropical band, not only plays the ever-popular Salsa music, but also ventures into other Latin dance styles such as Merengue, Bachata, Rumba, Chacha, Charanga, Cumbia, Latin Rock and the urban hip-hop style called Reggaetón. In addition to its broad Latin repertoire, the band also has a full Tropical show which features high-energy Caribbean dance rhythms such as Soca, Calypso, Ska, Reggae, as well as exotic Brazilian Lambada, infectious Afro-Pop-Rock, Afro-Latin and blends of the styles. From Carlos Santana to UB40 to Kaoma to Harry Belafonte to Paul Simon's South African influences to even a bit of Cincinnati's favorite parrothead, Jimmy Buffet, Acapulco will span the globe in its explosive exploration of the Tropical beat.
