This AAMA event will address on the creation, use, and value of a patent portfolio in helping to ensure that a business can grow and flourish in the face of competition.

Today's high-tech companies, whether they compete in the electronics, software, or life sciences markets, must consider intellectual property as a component of their business that will factor heavily into their success. Success in the IP area will depend on an awareness of their own IP position, the IP position of their competitors, and the IP position of potential aggressors. This event will feature a panel of speakers representing virtually all industry perspectives -- electronics, life sciences, and patent licensors. They will provide their insights, experience, and case examples into how IP can be used to protect market positions, ward off potential threats, and add value to a company.

Topics will include:
-review of IP developments within for multiple business segments
-leveraging IP to meet business objectives in transactions and litigation
-protecting market position through investments in patent portfolios
