A Year With Take Dance March 22, 2009

A new documentary A YEAR WITH TAKE DANCE by Damian Eckstein will premiere on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 8pm at Village East Cinemas, 181 Second Avenue at 12th Street, NYC. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.nyfilmandvideo.com. Seating is limited. Filmmaker Damian Eckstein earned his BFA in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase. He has written and arranged countless jingles and underscores for companies such as Pepsi, Intel, and the CBS network. He currently writes songs and plays bass in Manhattan with his rock band GIFTSHOP. Mr. Eckstein shot the video, scored the music, and edited A YEAR WITH TAKE DANCE, his first film.

Founded in 2004, TAKE Dance Company is a New York City based contemporary dance company that explores the integration of expressive and physical movement. Japanese born and former dancer with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, artistic director Takehiro Ueyama blends eastern and western sensibilities to communicate the universal human condition.
