Explorer, travel writer and broadcaster John Pilkington returns to Liphook’s Millennium Centre this October with his latest talk A Stroll Through The Axis of Evil.

Following in the footsteps of his hero, Marco Polo, who made a trailblazing trip through the Middle East in 1271, John Pilkington made a six month solo journey across Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Georgia and Armenia.

It is this journey made on foot, hitchhiking, in shared taxis, buses boat and train that the BBC World Service and Radio 4 broadcaster will share with his audience in an illustrated talk featuring many of the stunning photographs he took along his way.

Tickets are priced at £8, with a concession of £6 for children and those aged 60 and over. Tickets are available from the Liphook Millennium Centre 01428 723889, Bramshott & Liphook Parish Council Office on 01428 722988, and on the door. Tickets can also be ordered by e-mail: [email protected] for collection and payment on the night. A range of refreshments will be on sale.
