Every business has been there. A strategic plan was discussed, developed, delivered then somewhere it went dormant. Yet virtually all research affirms the fact that without well articulated vision, mission and goals, a business will find sustained success elusive. In an environment where stakeholders wear multiple hats and need to keep their focus in an ever turbulent economic landscape, strategic planning is essential to the health of the family and privately owned business. This executive level forum will explain the critical process of executing a successful strategic plan including: alignment between family mission/vision and business mission/vision, exploring strategic potential, exploring business strategies, choosing direction, basic evaluations of strategic options, exploring family commitment, developingeffective ownership.

Cheryl Stein draws on over fifteen years of experience in a family business as well as a Masters Degree in Organizational Development and Management to help family businesses with transitions and change.
