A storm larger than anything in living memory is coming to Auburn

Dale Alan Cox presents ARkStorm at the Friday Lecture Series in

AUBURN, CA – California’s “other big one,” the ARkStorm, will deluge Auburn’s State Theater on October 7th, 2011 during Placer Nature Center and Roseville Utility Exploration Center’s First Friday Lecture Series. Dale Alan Cox of the USGS Multi-Hazards Demonstration Project will present a hypothetical winter storm scenario based on recently forgotten history of the west coast’s 1862 tragedy.

The presentation of the scenario starts at 7:30 PM in the State Theater at 985 Lincoln Way in Auburn. Tickets are $9 for Placer Nature Center members, students and Roseville residents; $12 for general admission.
