Located only blocks from the White House and the War Dept., the Church of the Epiphany was a place of healing during the Civil War. This dramatic presentation recalls Lincoln's attendance at the funeral of the first Union general killed in battle; the use of the church as a hospital for wounded troops; and the circle of Epiphany people of faith who surrounded Lincoln during his presidential years.
