The Irish Astronomical Association has been invited to present present an evening of stargazing with the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Orion and plenty more! The event will run from 6.30 to 10.00 p.m., and it will feature as a LIVE broadcast on Radio Ulster from 8 to 10 p.m.
We will have telescopes and binoculars available, together with experienced members of the Irish Astronomical Association who will be able to show members of the public many celestial objects and answer questions about the night sky and getting started in astronomy.
In the event of cloud or rain we will have star shows in the Stardome indoors.
This event requires minimum light pollution so we would advise that you bring a torch as there will be limited lights around the park.
All children to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
