The spirit world is in chaos as its rulers fight over possession of a human child. Young lovers seek to escape from the clutches of a tryannical father; jealousy threatens the lives and safety of erstwhile friends; a group of actors seek to gain the approval of the rich and powerful. A Midsummer Night's Dream has all the ingredients of powerful tragedy and yet, timelessly and with great compassion and humour Shakespeare explores for us the intertwining emotions, hopes, dreams and passions of human and spirit kind.
