A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier March 29, 2007

Ishmael Beah, former child soldier from Sierra Leone, now author and human rights activist, shares his riveting story from his new book A Long Way Gone. He is a testament to the boundless capacity of a child to find courage to survive war. This memoir is an extraordinary account of his personal transformation that ultimately gives readers hope.
