Professor Mendoza will present a multimedia presentation on research he conducted during the summer and fall of 2007 as he bicycled around the perimeter of the United States visiting Latino communities. His research sheds new insight into the current debates on immigration, cultural citizenship, and the complex relationship of interdependency we have with today's new immigrants.

Louis Mendoza is Associate Vice Provost in the Office of Equity and Diversity, and an Associate Professor of Chicano Studies at the University of Minnesota.
