David Strattons History of World Cinema course explores in great detail the development and trends of world cinema in chronological order. These 12 sessions, each running for three hours and each containing the screening of a feature film in full, will explore the years 1940-1941 and will consider not only the films made in Hollywood during this period but also films made in wartime Britain and other parts of the world, and not only feature films but newsreels, documentaries and animated films. Supporting material will supply notes on political, social and cultural events, worldwide, during the period covered. Details of this event may be subject to change.
