A Headliner Luncheon Panel Discussion with Max Borders, John Hood, and J. Peder Zane December 3, 2009

Host: John Locke Foundation. Speakers will be Max Borders, executive editor of the Free To Choose Network; John Hood, president of the John Locke Foundation; and J. Peder Zane, former Ideas columnist for the Raleigh News and Observer. This lunchtime discussion launches a new Pope Center paper, “The UNC School of the Arts: Should It Be Self-Supporting?” by Max Borders. The UNC School of the Arts is a state-owned conservatory dedicated to the professional training of performing artists. On a per capita basis its costs are the highest in the University of North Carolina system.
