Noten Yad,” Congregation Beth David’s Social Justice Committee, in collaboration with PACT (People Acting in Community Together, a local interfaith coalition), are presenting a forum on “Aging, Caring for Ourselves and Others: Learning how to Protect Seniors against Fraud and Scams.” The program will take place at the synagogue, 19700 Prospect Road, Saratoga, on Sunday, October 28, 2012, at 1:30 pm
Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff Rosen, Deputy District Attorney Janet Berry of the Elder Fraud Unit, and Captain Ken Binder, West Valley Patrol Commander of the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office will discuss how to recognize and report fraud and scams that affect seniors and their families, and will describe what services are available to the community to ensure protection against these problems. Following a formal presentation by the expert speakers, light refreshments will be served, and professionally staffed information tables will be available for consultation and browsing.
