Dorothy Naor is a Jewish Israeli activist opposing the occupation of Palestine. She was born in San Francisco, California in 1932, and grew up in the Bay Area but has lived in Israel since 1958. Dorothy is a member of New Profile, a pluralist feminist organization that seeks to transform Israel from a militaristic society to a civil-ized one. New Profile supports and assists refusal to serve in the military and also nonviolent means of ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. Dorothy speaks of compassion, understanding and justice, and of the courage to take action to resist injustice. She can speak from personal interaction about the expropriation of land, destruction of homes, trees and farmland, the Separation Wall, the history of the conflict, misperceptions in Israeli and American society and other topics.
