EASY STREET THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS CHARLES DICKENS’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL Thursday, December 18 — Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Easy Street Theatre Company (ESTC) kicks off its 2009 season with the timeless holiday tale Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, directed by ESTC Founder/Artistic Director Becky Wilding, which opens December 18 and runs through December 23, 2008 at the Cubberley Theatre in Palo Alto. A Christmas Carol A Christmas Carol, based on Dickens’ classic tale, is filled with all the joy and celebration of this festive season, and features the unforgettable characters that have long been a staple of our Christmas tradition. This lively production has something for everyone, it is both light and ominous, comic and tragic, romantic and chilling, as Ebenezer Scrooge experiences both the sorrows and joys of the holiday season in this charming tale of redemption. In 1992 it was re-established in the Bay Area performing theatrical productions three to six times a year in various venues. Quickly growing into one of the most popular theatre groups in Santa Cruz County and producing a wide variety of musicals and plays including our annual Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and requested by popular demand our biennial production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. Easy Street Theatre Company has always been a nomad company works in a multitude of spaces. The unique aspect of our company is that we can transform any space into a successful theater, whether it is an empty room or a grassy knoll. Easy Street Theatre Company is a non profit 501(c) organization under the guidance of Artistic Director Becky Wilding, whose commitment to enriching our audience's lives has lead to a diverse collection of past productions. Our target audience varies by production appealing to families as well as lovers of literature, philosophy and music.
