Millennium Consort Singers, Martin Neary, conductor and Pomona College Choir, Donna M. Di Grazia, conductor join to premiere Tom Flaherty’s "Water Ruminations." The program also features music by Copland, Howells, Morley, Stanford, Tippett and others performed by the Millennium Consort Singers.

Martin Neary was Organist and Master of the Choristers at Winchester Cathedral (1972-1987) and at Westminster Abbey (1988-1998). Among his awards are a Grammy© nomination for his recording of Purcell's Music for Queen Mary and an appointment as Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by the Queen of England in appreciation of his services at the Funeral of Princess Diana.
The Millennium Consort Singers was founded by Neary in 2007, at the suggestion of the LA-based Da Camera Society to perform choral masterpieces from the Renaissance and the 20th and 21st centuries. The opening concert, before a completely full audience at St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Los Angeles, featured works by British composer John Tavener and his earlier namesake John Taverner. In early 2008, MCS gave a series of concerts devoted to the music of Henry Purcell, Ralph Vaughan Williams and contemporary British composer, Jonathan Harvey. In 2009 their performances included works by contemporary American composers, Kurt Rohde and Tom Flaherty, and 2010 saw ensemble’s first appearance in Disney Hall on the LA Philharmonic’s Organ Recital series.
