Award-winning storyteller Diane Edgecomb and Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain will be joined by storyteller and fiddler Michael Punzak and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan for an evening of Irish tales and music at the Charlestown Working Theater, 442 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, MA
Favorite tales from Ireland will be highlighted including Seumus MacManus' Leading Road to Donegal, and the haunting Irish legend of Deirdre of the Sorrows. In 1905, Celtic author Charles Squire said, "Gaelic romance is summed up in the one word, Deirdre." Stories will alternate with Irish airs on Celtic harp, fiddle, accordion and pennywhistle. The evening performance celebrates Irish wit, passion and song and makes for a memorable way to celebrate the Saint Patrick's Day weekend.
