A Celebration of Steam at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard May 9, 2009

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, one of the greatest industrial complexes in the world during the 18th and 19th centuries will be transported back to an age of steam with displays of traction engines and road locomotives at work, steam fairground attractions, steam boats, model railways and a special appearance from Ivor the Engine.

Traditional craft stalls, entertainments and a Real Ale and sausage area combined with entrance to the historic ships, attractions* and a rare opportunity to see the oldest steam factory in the world, The Block Mills will complete this steaming day out for all the family.
