“A Boy Named Rocky” is a coloring book created and authored by Dr. Janice Beal and Judge Vanessa Gilmore to help children deal with the loss and changes of having an incarcerated parent.

This panel discussion will help members of the community, non-profit organizations, mental health organizations, educational groups, and church ministries work with these children and their families.

Panelists will be Dr. Janice Beal, Judge Vanessa Gilmore, Marian Davenport (CEO and Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston), Tommy Dorsett (Program Director of Inner Change Freedom Initiative) and Carol Vance Unit (Texas Department of Criminal Justice).

Light refreshments available. This event is free and open to the public.
