7th Annual Dol-Fun Chalk Art Festival August 22, 2009

The 7th Annual Chalk Art Festival on the Redondo Beach Pier and International Boardwalk will celebrate dolphins. Artists of all ages and levels will have some dol-fun as the pier and boardwalk are transformed into a concrete canvas. The event is free and open to the public and no experience is required. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of in several categories ranging from kids 4 and under to families, teams and professional artists. Free chalk will be provided to the first 150 registrants. The Redondo Pier Association has partnered to raise funds for the Redondo Beach Library Foundation through the 4th Annual Dolphin Dash which will take place on the pier immediately following the Chalk Art Festival. Live music from the Hollywood School of Rock, Free to be Me drum circle and Surf Cats will begin during the Chalk Art Festival. Bring your own beach chairs for better enjoyment of the music.
