Founded in 1981 the Down Home 78-RPM Record Swap is located in downtown El Cerrito, California.

"The Swap" caters to 78-RPM record enthusiasts of varying musical styles from the years 1877 through 1960. The common denominator for collectors at the swap is 1920's Jazz, but it is also an excellent place to buy and sell virtually any type of music issued on the 78-RPM format.

In addition to buying and selling records, the Swap provides an opportunity to socialize with other 78-RPM record enthusiasts. If you play a stringed instrument, there are also impromptu jam sessions.

The Swap takes place, rain or shine, on the second Sunday of every month in the parking lot of the renowned Down Home Music Record store. The hours are roughly 8:00 to 11:00 am (when the store opens).

Directions: Down Home Music is located at 10341 San Pablo Avenue El Cerrito, CA. From Interstate 80 take the Central Ave exit. Turn north on San Pablo Ave. The Store is located between Sacramento Ave and Fresno Ave.
