Great River, New York 11739

Approximately a 3 mile walk through the Bayard cutting arboretum while we try to identify as many of the hundreds of different plants ducks and birds that habitat at the Bayard cutting arboretum. After our walk, we relax in the cafe inside the house, with an open porch overlooking the Connetquot River and enjoy a hot or cold beverage together.

About this place The arboretum development began in 1887. The current collection of fir, spruce, pine, cypress, hemlock, yew and other trees, is the most extensive to be found on Long Island. The manor house which was the former William Bayard Cutting residence, has magnificent fireplaces, woodworking's, stained glass windows.
