7 in Heaven's Vanderbilt Show and Musuem Visit January 2, 2011

Arrive between 2:30pm-2:45 in Lobby of the planeterium.
Tickets will be distributed, 3pm planetarium show "STAR OF WONDER".
After the show, we will be given a guided tour of the mansion, which is dressed up for the holidays. We will also see on display Vanderbilt's 1909 Reo Gentleman’s Roadster and 1928 Lincoln
ABOUT THIS PLACE
William Kissam Vanderbilt II. previously owned this estate during Long Island's Gold Coast Era. Built with a Spanish design it has 24 rooms which was built in three stages from 1910 until 1936. This 43-acre "Eagle's Nest mansion" was used as his summer home, and is now is the Suffolk County Vanderbilt museum and planetarium which was first opened in 1950. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
