7 in Heaven's Singles Lighthouse Tour at Fire Island November 11, 2012

WHERE to MEET at 11:00am in the far right waterfront corner of field #5 Robert Moses
We begin walking the boardwalk approximately one mile to the lighthouse, and then take a guided tour of the Lighthouse. There are 192 steps to climb from the bottom to the top of the lighthouse, but its well worth it! The view from the tower top is always amazing. Fire Island lighthouse built 1826, then in 1858 new tower was built and has been lit since then! MORE HISTORY HERE
*Pack a Lunch & Water
Optional- After our guided tour of the Fire Island Lighthouse if the weather is nice, we will continue to walk another mile on the sand to Kismit beach to have lunch. Kismit Beach included will make it a 5 mile walking round trip + stair climbing at the lighthouse.
DRESS in LAYERS boardwalk is open & windy, HAT or HOOD, GLOVES & SCARF to stay warm, can peel off a layer if you warm up walking.
COST $5.00 CASH PAID to the host at event for administrative and organizational fees for the event. *ADDITIONAL $6 guided tour of lighthouse.(No parking fee this time of year)
