*Approximately a 1-2 mile nature walk through several paths at the Bayard cutting arboretum while we try to identify and take photos of many of the different ducks and birds that habitat at this arboretum in the winter months. Click here to see the list of birds. After our walk, we relax in the cafe inside the house, with a view overlooking the Connetquot River. Enjoy a hot or cold beverage together.

About this place The arboretum development began in 1887. The current collection of fir, spruce, pine, cypress, hemlock, yew and other trees, is the most extensive to be found on Long Island. The manor house which was the former William Bayard Cutting residence, has magnificent fireplaces, woodworking's, stained glass windows.
