The 66th annual Marin County Fair, long known for innovation and pioneering spirit, will celebrate the world’s most famous bridge by kicking off the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. This world famous icon turns 75 on May 27, 2012 and the Marin County Fair will be the first public event to kick off this momentous occasion over the July Fourth weekend Thursday, June 30 through Monday July 4. Headline music acts include Three Dog Night, Toots & the Maytals, 7 Walkers, Ozomatli, The Temptations, The Pointer Sisters and more (schedule below.) Also, the amazing Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats, 28 Free Carnival Rides, spectacular fireworks every night, over 12,000 Exhibits, Barnyard animals, Ben & Jerry’s Solar Stage and much more!

Thursday, June 30, 7:30pm – THREE DOG NIGHT ----One of America’s most notable rock acts which earned 13 gold albums and recorded 21 Billboard Top 40 hits.

Friday, July 1, 7:30pm – TOOTS & THE MAYTALS – Jamaican reggae by one of the best known ska and reggae vocal groups.

Saturday, July 2, Afternoon 3pm – 7 WALKERS – Jam band with former Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzman and Louisiana born guitarist Papa Mali.

Saturday, July 2, Evening, 7:30pm – OZOMATLI – Combining rock, hip hop, and Latin music Ozomatli’s salsa, cumbia, and hip hop rhythms will energize all ages.

Sunday, July 3, Afternoon, 2pm – U.S. AIR FORCE CONCERT BAND OF THE GOLDEN WEST – large concert band performs a wide spectrum of styles including classical, jazz, popular, and patriotic.

Sunday, July 3, Evening, 7:30pm – THE POINTER SISTERS – Bay Area originals, the Pointer Sisters achieved mainstream success for over three decades with their upbeat vocals covering pop, disco, dance, soul, funk and R&B.

Monday, July 4, Afternoon, 2 & 4pm – PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND – exhilarating and legendary New Orleans jazz band.

Monday, July 4, Evening, 7:30pm – THE TEMPTATIONS – One of the country’s most successful soul, R&B, vocal groups who recorded for Motown Records.
