The school offers a 600-hour massage therapy training which, once completed, will qualify the student to sit for the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and become either a licensed massage therapist (if the applicant has accumulated at least 60 college credits) or registered massage practitioner (if the applicant does not have 60 college credits) in Maryland. Our program provides students the experience, hands-on-training and essential knowledge of what is needed to operate a successful massage practice. Graduates of this training will be qualified to do Swedish and deep tissue massage, and will have learned other techniques such as Craniosacral therapy, Myofascial release, Reiki, acupressure, shiatsu, reflexology, medical and sports massageMassage therapy is a personal health service utilizing soft-tissue manipulations to treat pain, increase range of motion, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.
