Operational risk has been a major cause of institution failure during the financial crisis. This year’s event is a must-have for risk and IT managers to keep up to date.

The Summit brings together risk management and IT audit professionals who are working on identifying, analysing, managing, preventing, controlling or auditing operational risks. In addition to discussing the management of operational risks, BACEE has teamed up with ISACA and IOR to provide an extra searchlight on the management of information technology related risks. There will be an extra focus on fraud risk and on business continuity management in separate breakout sessions to maximize the benefit of delegates by attending more targeted presentations. The speakers’ panels will include representatives of Banking regulatory and professional bodies, central banks, risk analysts, oprisk managers, and independent IT auditors and consultants who are experts on their fields. Delegates will have the opportunity to understand the issues facing operational risk management, the latest developments, gain insight into the operational risk management practices of top commercial banks, learn methods to cope with information technology related risks, and they also have the opportunity to understand the offerings of risk management software providers. Delegates will further have an opportunity to hear from fraud prevention experts and from business continuity management specialists.
