5th EARSeL Workshop: Remote Sensing of Land Ice and Snow
Changing Climate - Changing Cryosphere

Seasonal snow cover and glaciers influence water runoff from alpine as well as polar regions and affect mankind in many ways. Since alpine and polar regions are known to be particularly sensitive to global climate change, an important research topic is the assessment of the influence of global climate change on glacier dynamics and water runoff.

Remote sensing techniques play an important role in snow cover and glacier monitoring. We kindly invite you to the 5th EARSeL Workshop on Remote Sensing of Land Ice and Snow at the Institute of Geography, University of Bern, Switzerland in February 2008. The workshop is organized by the Remote Sensing Research Group, University of Bern, Switzerland.
