Ken Goetz, former Lincoln Board member and Chair of Lincoln Schools’ recent bond campaign committee, and Jackie Shock, President of the Lincoln Education Association, announced today a forum for candidates for the office of State Representative for the 54th District.

The forum will occur between 6 and 8 pm on Thursday, June 17th. It will be held at the Lincoln Senior Center, located at the corner of Whittaker and Willis, attached to Brick Elementary. All declared candidates have been invited to participate. The event will be open to the public, subject to seat availability.

The primary focus of the forum will be on issues surrounding K-12 education. Organizers plan to ask a series of pre-determined questions focused on education issues. Ideas and feedback from the public is welcome. Suggestions can be emailed to [email protected].

Members of the public will also be able to submit questions of their own during the forum. These questions will be collected from the audience and asked of the candidates as time allows.
