The 4th Annual Cruisin’ for a Cure Motorcycle/Car Rally is scheduled for Saturday, August 15 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event benefits the Leukemia Research Foundation through its Dan Barton Memorial Chapter. Door prizes, raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle are all part of the fun. Kids are welcome.

Dan Barton of Elgin, Ill., was a friend to everyone he met; a 26 year-old man with a charming personality, a beautiful smile and a big heart – working to following in the footsteps of his father to become a firefighter when he was diagnosed with leukemia. The Rally is in honor of Dan’s great love for motorcycles and fast cars and pays tribute to his courageous battle against leukemia. The Dan Barton Memorial Chapter is now based in Oregon, Ill.
