There's no time like the present to explore your family's past. You'll have the perfect opportunity to start exploring when over fifty of the nation's top genealogy teachers and practitioners meet in Burbank June 26-28, 2009. Free sessions on Friday will introduce the basics. The Kids' Family History Camp will help the family's younger members start exploring their own family histories.

Jamboree includes nearly 100 class sessions throughout the weekend on a wide variety of topics, including vintage photos, DNA, and how to use the online and traditional information sources available today. Nearly 70 exhibitors will be on hand to provide the supplies and materials needed by family historians.

Friday night's banquet presentation will be by Tukufu Zuberi, Ph.D., host of the popular PBS series History Detectives. Other special events are scheduled throughout the weekend. One of our featured presenters is Feargal O'Donnell, Vice Chairman of the Irish Family History Foundation. Other featured speakers include David E. Rencher, Chief Genealogy Officer for FamilySearch.org; Andrew Wait, Vice President and General Manager of Ancestry.com; Tony Burroughs, whose specialty is African-American ancestry, and Maureen Taylor, the Photo Detective.

Jamboree provides an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in family history, and get started the right way. Join us!
