404 Wine Bar's October Winemaker Dinner October 20, 2011

ENJOY AUSTRALIA’S BEST WINES IN A COZY AND INTIMATE ATMOSPHERE DURING 404 WINE BAR’S OCTOBER WINEMAKER DINNER

Chicago —Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m., 404 Wine BarCo., 2856 N. Southport Avenue, will present their October “Wines Around the World” winemaker dinner featuring the best of Australian wines. The evening will begin with Split Pea Soup and Grilled Mettwerst, paired with Killerman’s Run Shiraz.The second course is Coconut Shrimp and Tartail Sauce, served with Omrah Chardonnay. Later, guests can enjoy Killerman’s Run Cabernet, paired with Australian Burger. Lastly, for dessert, enjoy deep fried peach, honey and vanilla ice cream, paired with Mort’s Block Riesling.Reservations are required as the event is kept intimate with a maximum of 30-35 participants. 404 Wine Bar Co. presents “Wines Around the World” every third Thursday of the month. For $35, four wines from different regions are matched with delectable small plates to enhance the experience. The favorite wine of the night will become a part of the following month’s featured flight.

The wine bar presents specials including $20 select bottles of wine on Mondays; complimentary chef pairing with featured bottle on Tuesdays; $8 flight of the day on Wednesdays. Past chef pairings have included Crab Cake appetizers, French Onion Soup, and House made Tapenade appetizers. A Wine of the Month highlights wines from around the world.
