O'Connell & Company Productions proudly presents the Western New York premiere of the musical, 4 GUYS NAMED JOSE AND UNA MUJER NAMED MARIA! This funny, passionate, swinging & sizzling celebration of Latino rhythms, song & dance runs October 9 through November 1, 2009.

ROLANDO GOMEZ, RAFAEL PEREZ, PEDRO RODRIGUEZ, JOSEAN TORRES star as the four Josés and VICTORIA PEREZ is Maria.
The production is directed & choreographed by Carlos Renaldo Alvarez Jones. Vocal Direction is by James Deiotte, Costume Design by Todd Warfield, Set Design by David Butler with Sound Design by Larry Scheur and Production Manager is Maureen Sheldon.

The Story:
Four homesick guys living in snow storm-whipped Nebraska meet in a local fast food restaurant and discover that although from different backgrounds - Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Mexican - they know and love the same beautiful songs once sung to them by their parents. To celebrate their musical roots, they put on a show at the local VFW hall, creating an exhilarating evening of Latin song and dance. Even though their ancestral roots span Latin America, they realize they share the same name, the same dream, and - oh!-oh! - the same love for a beautiful María who unexpectedly shows up to add her own “picante” spice to the mix. Forty-one songs, performed in Spanish and English, span the decades from the 1940s to Ricky Martin. Musical highlights chronicle the Latin Experience and include favorites such as ... La Bamba, Black Magic Woman, La Vida Loca, Besame Mucho, Sway With Me, Maria Elena and Amor, Amor.

4 GUYS NAMED JOSE AND UNA MUJER NAMED MARIA! is onstage at Erie Community College - North Campus, 6205 Main St. (on Youngs between Main & Wehrle), Williamsville, NY 14221, where the award-winning O'Connell & Company Productions is the professional theatre company in residence.
This limited engagement runs October 9 through November 1, 2009 and performances are on Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. The Saturday, October 31st performance is a 2:30 matinee. Ticket prices are $20 general o $15 senior/student o $12.50 ECC Community. Discounts are available to groups. FREE parking.
