3's Homecoming Show November 24, 2007

Come catch 3's FINAL hometown show of 2007! The Woodstock natives have been quite busy since last year's Black Friday show. They premiered a few new songs on stage, and then went to work on their fifth release. Drumming guru, Jerry Marotta (Peter Gabriel, Elvis Costello), offered up his legendary studio and drum collection, so the boys set up shop and recorded their masterpiece: "The End Is Begun." Immediately following the completion of the album, 3 blew the minds of unsuspecting Prog-Rockers on the first leg of Porcupine Tree's North American "Fear of a Blank Planet" tour. 3's performances were so well received that Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree stated, "This is the best band that has opened for us, in the world."

Metal Blade Records released "The End is Begun" on July 24th, 2007. To celebrate, 3 returned to the Bearsville Theater with friends, Counterfeit Disaster, before heading out on a short headlining run of the Northeast. The mini-tour was the most successful to date and ended with the filming of the music video for "All That Remains" on Bannerman's Island in the Hudson River. The performance portion of the video took place at the site of a crumbling, abandoned castle usually closed off to film/video crews, however, after hearing 3's music they had a change of heart, convinced that this band would be the perfect compliment to their historic location.

In September 3 headlined the ProgDay Festival and then opened for German Hard-Rock legends, Scorpions, (best known for their 1984 anthem, "Rock You Like a Hurricane") on 12 dates. Upon their return, the band recorded an original cover of Pink Floyd's "See Emily Play" for a Syd Barrett Tribute album at Darkworld Studio in Kingston.

3 was then invited to join Porcupine Tree on the second leg of their North American tour in October. One can definitely expect to see great things from this band in 2008 and abound, so you won't want to miss this special hometown show!
