ABOUT 365:
In November 2002, Pulitzer prize-winning playwright SUZAN-LORI PARKS (Topdog/Underdog, In the Blood, The America Play) sat down and committed to writing a play a day for the next 365 days. The world premiere of this play cycle will be performed as a yearlong national festival simultaneously in 14 major cities and communities around the country by over 600 theatres in the largest theatre collaboration in U.S. History.

Throughout the year, each participating organization will be assigned one week of seven plays which range in length from 1-5 pages. They will present their seven pieces however they wish, bringing their own aesthetic and mission to the work, thereby creating a unified but incredibly diverse play cycle. The plays may be produced in any way the organization sees fit: as a full production, a staged reading, or a pre-show lobby event before a regularly scheduled production. One of the seven plays may be done every day for a week, or they can all be combined into one single event.
