35th Johns Hopkins Workshop on AdS/CFT and its Applications June 21, 2011

Aim of the workshop

The AdS/CFT duality conjectures an equivalence between theories of gravity on a curved space and gauge theories defined on the boundary of such spaces. This duality has become a powerful tool to study strongly interacting systems by use of a conjectured dual weakly coupled string/gravitational theory, allowing new computations that go beyond the standard perturbative techniques. The workshop is intended to focus on the interdisciplinary aspects of the gauge/gravity duality, both in its formal aspects and in its applications to particle physics. (The workshop is topically related to the HoloGrav network).

Venue

The conference venue is the Physics Building of the Eötvös University.
